This is a contents page taken from vibe magazine which is a steryeotypical rap/hiphop magazine.
This producers of the magazine have taken the steryeotypical hip hop artist and made him the opposite, characteristics we link with a rapper are not on this image,Tthis makes the magazine different and unusual. The image takes up more than half of the page as this is what peole are more interested in, if the text took up this amount of space there would be to much to read. A negative of this magazine is that it isnt made very clear that is is the contents page and could just be another article if we didnt look closely. The colours suggest the genre as the dark background is plain but with the white text it looks bold and clear.
